Wants tender lovin'

This sweet boy was dropped off at a pet store by someone who almost hit him with his car.  The person who dropped him off was looking for help because he thought that Lucky (aka Boyfriend) had an injury on his leg.

I took him to the vet right away.  It looks like he had been previously hit by another car.  He had an open wound that had to be stapled shut.  It's about 4 inches long on his right rear leg close to his inner thigh.  He also had a couple of other cuts on his legs.  The vet took some xrays and found that his right hip was out of joint/dislocated.  She put it back into place.  She also found that his right hip was broken behind where the leg attaches to the hip.  There probaly isn't anything that will be done about this injury.  The vet also found that his left hip was broken in front of where his left rear leg attaches to the hip.  This has already been fixed with surgery and a plate was put in to hold everyting in place.

He has healed up from all of his injuries, although he has a little bit of a crooked walk and skips sometimes.

Despite everything that he's been through, he is a very sweet dog.  He's looking for a family that understands that he probably won't be a champion sprinter, but he does play and move around on his own.

He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.  He is heartworm positive, but he will be treated for that.  He is housetrained, but he does ocassionally have an accident.

He has an adorable mohawk, and is ready to show it off.  He is a snuggler too.

His adoption fee is $75.
