You want a cat with a carload of personality; you don't want some fluffy belly dress-in-doll-clothes baby kitty; you want a full-grown, handsome man cat. Well, Baby Face Furson is looking for you.

Originally a street man, Baby Face ended up in a rescuer's neighborhood, along with a black and white brother. Sadly, his brother was hit by a car within days of landing in the neighborhood. Alone and frightened, Baby Face went to house after house, looking for handouts, eating from outside or barn cat food dishes, sleeping where he could. The rescuer put out food for a feral cat and Baby Face frequently showed up at feeding time, hungry, but friendly. It took a while to earn his trust. Then a neighbor who was moving out of state said she was taking him with her, that he was very friendly with her.

Fast forward six months. Baby Face appears in the rescuer's yard, thin, hungry, and in great pain. The rescuer takes him to the vet. He gets neutered, vaccinated, combo-tested (neg/neg) and microchipped. And the vet said his mouth is tremendously inflamed with stomatitis, meaning inflammation in the tender tissue of the mouth.

Baby Face is on steroids for the inflammation, a very low-cost med, and his dose will be tapered down over time. He needs to eat nothing but canned food. But right now, he needs a home. He needs a furrever home, or even a foster home where he can be indoor all the time.

Good looking and loving as he is, Baby Face is still a bit uncouth. We don't know what happened to him out there, how he ended up back in his old stomping ground after six months away, but we do know that he will slap at you if he gets overstimulated. He needs time to heal; time to recover from the emotional and physical pain. He needs a loving home that will let him grow into the fine, furry, handsome guy he's supposed to be. He couldn't be more happy to meet you. He hasn't yet met a stranger, and once he realizes you're safe, he'll rub you to death!

Would you like to meet this gorgeous handsome boy? Go to his webpage at www.tomballsos.org and fill out an application and his foster dad will contact you to set up a meeting.

For more details, contact his foster dad Harold directly at haroldw1@sbcglobal.net or call 832-333-2344.

Baby Face's adoption fee of a minimum of $125 goes toward rescuing more precious kitties from the streets or will pay for one spay or two neuters of feral street cats.
